I chose these photos to be the top 3 because the natural lighting helped accentuate the colours, details and shadows. The colours are made more prominent due to the natural sunlight hitting the statue at different outlooks, depending on how I took the photo. The shadows also differ in each photo due to the use of a range of viewpoints. Having different perspectives helps emphasise the different aspects of the photos, making each one unique.
Brassai
Brassai's style is distinctive as firstly he used black and white in his photos. He also used contrast to ensure that the photos are not too grey and that there is highlight to make the photos more three dimensional rather than giving a one dimensional effect which the black and white itself may give. This gives more effect and makes the photos more unique and distinctive. He used macro photography to make his photos more surreal which is also another way of making his photos more distinctive. The macro surrealism confuses the viewer as it is hard to tell what the object in the photo is. However Brassai makes sure that the viewpoint of the object that he uses, gives the viewer an idea of what the object may be.
